The Ohio Senate has approved House Bill 81, which pays tribute to fallen military personnel, first responders, and elected officials. This bill includes Senate Bill 282, introduced by State Senator Stephanie Kunze from Dublin.

Senate Bill 282 specifically names a section of Interstate 270 in Franklin County as the "PFC Henry Rick Hausman Memorial Highway." The designated area spans both northbound and southbound lanes between Cemetery Road and Roberts Road. PFC Hausman served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze and Silver Star for his valorous actions in a mission in 1969.

"PFC Hausman honorably and selflessly served our country," said Kunze. "It is important that we remember him and the countless others who made the ultimate sacrifice and I am incredibly grateful for their service."
