State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Dublin) announced the Ohio Statehouse School Bus Transportation Grant Program will be open from September 23 through September 30. The grant assists schools in covering the cost of bus transportation for field trips to the state capitol.

"All Ohioans, especially our children, should have the opportunity to visit the Statehouse to learn about the Buckeye State's government and rich history," Senator Kunze said. "This grant program gives more schools the ability to do so, enriching our students' education and teaching them the importance of their voices for the future."

Grants will be awarded by the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) and the Capitol Square Foundation in partnership with Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc. Any Ohio school that receives state funding can apply. Grants are limited to 4th through 12th grade students during the 2024/2025 school year. A random lottery selection will be utilized to choose a number of schools from each category, which is determined by mileage from the Statehouse.
