The Ohio Senate has passed Senate Bill 179, a piece of legislation sponsored by State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Dublin), which seeks to establish the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats license plate.

Kunze said, "This legislation is the result of direct outreach to my office from the Hilliard Davidson Baseball Club, a non-profit booster group that supports the Hilliard Davidson Baseball Program. I am confident that the funds from this license plate will support personal growth for student-athletes both on and off the field."

The new license plate, when purchased, allocates $30 to the Hilliard Davidson Baseball Club and $10 for processing fees at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. This arrangement provides a significant fundraising opportunity for the club, allowing it to continue its support of both the school district and baseball program.

Senate Bill 179 was unanimously passed in both the Transportation Committee and on the Senate floor. The bill now moves forward to the Ohio House of Representatives for further consideration.
