HPD to Host Career Day For Prospective Officers Jan. 14


Are you looking for a new career in the new year?

The City of Hilliard Division of Police is accepting applications for the position of police officer.

Learn more about working at HPD at the agency’s Career Day. The event will take place 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Safety Services Building, 5171 Northwest Parkway, Hilliard.

HPD is seeking the best and brightest to serve the growing communities of the City of Hilliard and Norwich Township. Any individual interested in becoming a police officer is encouraged to attend this free event.

Career Day will spotlight many of the diverse functions of the agency, including the Crash Investigation Team, School Resource Officers, Honor Guard and Bicycle Unit. Additionally, on display will be police cruisers and various uniforms worn by members of the Division.

Attendees will be invited to participate in a tour of the Division’s impressive facility, which includes a shooting range and training facility in the basement.

Those who are interested in applying for a position may learn more about the Division’s hiring process directly from one of the Division’s background investigators. Members of the administration will also be on hand to speak to potential candidates and answer questions on agency standards.

Hilliard police officers work to enhance residents’ quality of life by working cooperatively with the public to prevent crime, preserve the peace, enforce the law with respect to the constitutional rights of all citizens, reduce fear and provide a safe community environment.
