Recycling event for Styrofoam, Christmas lights to be held Dec. 28 | City of Hillard

Go Green! Hilliard and the City of Hilliard have partnered to host a recycling drop off event on Dec. 28. Don’t put your unwanted Styrofoam packaging and Christmas lights in the trash after the holidays, recycle them at this local collection event!

The general public may drop off Styrofoam and used Christmas lights at the pole barn at Hilliard City Hall (3770 Municipal Way), on Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Styrofoam:

Accepted materials include: packaging material and foam coolers.

Materials not accepted include: foam peanuts, construction grade foam (insulation), blue Styrofoam, and foam food containers.

Holiday lights:

Accepted materials include: LED lights, large and small bulb string lights, and light bulbs.
