Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is proud to announce the launch of its new Academic Leadership Fellow role within its academic organizational structure. New for the Fall 2022 trimester, four faculty members have been selected for the inaugural 2022-23 class, which will run from Oct.1, 2022 through July 31, 2023. Through today’s announcement, the University further demonstrates its Core Values of integrity, respect, opportunity, learning, and excellence by continuing the development of its faculty to help meet the educational needs of working adults.
At the core of its purpose, the Franklin University Academic Leadership Fellows program provides opportunities for faculty to leverage their capabilities to influence approaches to academic transformation and contribute their strengths to addressing organizational challenges and pursuing new opportunities. The program is designed to develop participants' leadership skills related to conceptualizing and implementing operational improvements and/or academic innovation.
"Our commitment to developing our bench of talent to deal with the headwinds facing our industry will better position us to adapt to emerging realities and grow through the stress and disorder of change together," shared Dr, Christopher Washington, executive vice president & provost, Franklin University. Each Fellow was selected based on their expressed interest in academic leadership and an overall inclination toward academic leadership development. In their new role, the four Fellows will either lead and/or support specific projects that significantly align with the University and academic goals, with access to the distinguished American Council on Education’s Agile Leadership curriculum as a framework to guide innovation.
