(Dublin, Ohio) — City of Dublin crews are heading back to snow school Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, to prepare for a safe and efficient snow removal season.
A course will be set up in the rear parking lot at the City of Dublin Service Center, located at 6555 Shier Rings Road, and events will run from 7:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. The best opportunity for video or pictures will be during the road-eo.
Here is a schedule of the day’s activities:
Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022
- 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. | Snow School
(Mandatory snow school for all employees assigned to a snow route or on the auxiliary list)
- 9:45 a.m. – Noon | Road-eo
(Participation is open to all employees who anticipate participating in snow and ice activities this winter)
- Noon – 1 p.m. | Lunch
(Lunch will be provided to Road-eo participants)
- 1 – 3 p.m. | Snow Routes Dry Run
(Route Dry Run – The dry run will take place following the Liquid Systems training. Each employee assigned to a snow route will make a dry run of their route in their assigned snow and ice truck. Employees will become familiarized with their route and look for obstacles in the road such as low hanging obstacles and snow storage locations. Supervisors will be trained on the SnowGo system, troubleshooting truck sensors and system testing procedures)
Judges will score the participants’ performance and prizes will be awarded for the various activities.
