(DUBLIN, OH) — Job seekers are invited to learn one-on-one from public safety professionals about career opportunities in several Central Ohio communities. This career event will provide information on application processes, job benefits and the value of public service.
Eight local public safety agencies are looking for people interested in becoming police officers, firefighters, paramedics and 911 dispatchers and who are ready to ensure our community members remain safe and supported.
The Central Ohio Public Safety Career Event is slated for Saturday, April 23, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend in person at Dublin Coffman High School, 6780 Coffman Rd., Dublin.
Participants can speak with representatives from these agencies:
- Columbus Division of Police
- Dublin Police Department
- Hilliard Division of Police
- Northwest Regional Emergency Communications Center (NRECC)
- Upper Arlington Fire Division
- Upper Arlington Police Division
- Washington Township Fire Department
- Worthington Division of Police
There will also be police cruisers, fire trucks and other gear for attendees to explore so they can ask about the types of equipment used on the job.
“Jobs in public safety not only afford people a rewarding career but are critical to the well-being of our community,” Dublin Police Chief Justin Paéz says. “The Dublin Police Department and NRECC welcome everyone to ask questions and learn more about the public safety field by attending this career event.”
This event helps support several Central Ohio public safety agencies that often partner on daily efforts and joint initiatives as they seek to recruit and retain committed and like-minded applicants ready to best serve their neighbors and communities.
