The City of Bexley issued the following announcement on March 11.
The Bexley Women’s Club (BWC) is asking for community support to assist the residents of Ukraine. Please help in one or both of the following ways:
1. Please donate any of the following items by dropping them off by Wednesday, March 23 during business hours (in collection box) to Bexley City Hall, 2242 East Main Street, Bexley, Ohio 43209 or the front porch of 2447 Plymouth Avenue, Bexley, Ohio:
- nonperishable food (oatmeal, canned food, etc)
- baby food, baby necessities,
- NEW clothes for men, women and children, thermal underwear of all sizes
- blankets, sleeping bags (dark colors), bedding,
- gauze bandages, cotton gauze, tourniquets, candles, gloves.
2. Consider making a financial donation directly to any of the following organizations. BWC has set up a donation page that goes to Global Giving, a relief charity that gets top marks from Charity Navigator and from Guidestar:
- Global Giving Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund
- International Rescue Committee
- UN Refugee Agency
