City of Dublin: Riverside Celebration – Friday, March 11

City of Dublin issued the following announcement on February 17.

The Dublin Link Pedestrian Bridge Dedication and Grand Opening of Riverside Crossing Park

Join the City of Dublin at the East Plaza, across the street from Bridge Park, starting at 6 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 to celebrate the long-awaited dedication of The Dublin Link pedestrian bridge, which was rescheduled from March 2020. In addition to dedicating Dublin’s world-renowned landmark, Riverside Crossing Park will officially open, which marks Dublin’s 64th park.

6 p.m. Strolling Entertainment

Music and entertainment on the East and West plazas

6:30 p.m. Synchronized Ice Skaters

The ice rink will be temporarily closed for a performance on the Riverside Crossing Park Ice Rink

6:59 p.m. Welcome and Countdown with Mayor Jane Fox

East Plaza adjacent to Riverside Drive and the East Plaza Pavilion

7 p.m. Brief Pyrotechnics Display

7:01 p.m. Bridge Dedication/Riverside Crossing Park Grand Opening with Mayor Fox

7:30 p.m. Choreographed Light Show on The Dublin Link

The Link will reopen to the public after the bridge is cleared of the close-proximity fireworks

Please use the public parking garages at Bridge Park, on-street parking along Riverside Drive or the parking garage beside the Columbus Metropolitan Library – Dublin Branch.

Please note that The Dublin Link pedestrian bridge will be closed for event set up from noon through approximately 7:30 p.m. March 11.

Complementing the Riverside Celebration, Fadó will host its St. Patrick’s Day Party. Enjoy live Irish music, good eats and great drinks along Longshore Street in Bridge Park from 5 to 10 p.m. March 11. There is no cover charge for the Friday event. Fadó will host the party again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a $20 cover charge.
