Business Owners and Human Resources Professionals are Invited to Attend the Free March 10 Luncheon
For the past two years the world has grappled with the health impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout most of that time, the emphasis has been on physical health. Now, it's becoming more and more clear that the pandemic also has taken a great toll on mental health as well.
According to the CDC, the percentage of adults with recent symptoms of an anxiety or a depressive disorder increased from 36.4 percent to 41.5 percent from August 2020 to February 2021. During the same time period, the CDC noted that the percentage reporting an unmet mental health care increased from 9.2 percent to 11.7 percent.
The event, which includes lunch, is slated for March 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Dublin Community Recreation Center at 5600, Post Road and is free to all who register on the Chamber's website by March 7.
The panel discussion will feature area experts discussing what to expect if an employee is in crisis, services available to Dublin area businesses on how to manage mental health measures in the workplace, a Q & A with area business professionals and a FitBiz overview.
Featured speakers include Charna Marini, manager of well-being programs for Cardinal Health; Dublin Deputy Police Chief Greg Lattanzi; Mollie Steiner, Dublin recreation administrator for corporate and community wellness; Stefanie Morrow, Director of Wellness & Health Coaching at The Ohio State University Health Plan; Sara Harrison-Mills, chief clinical officer for Syntero; Susan Ortega, director of strategic partnerships & initiatives for Syntero; and Jodi Kuri, ambulatory director of wellness for OSU Wexner Medical Center.
