City of Dublin: Seeking New Member for Veterans Committee

City of Dublin issued the following announcement on January 20.

(Dublin, Ohio) — The City of Dublin invites Dublin veterans from all branches of the military to continue serving their country by participating in the City’s Veterans Committee. The City is currently is seeking a Navy Veteran to join the committee.

Residents who served in the U.S. Navy are encouraged to apply to the Veterans Committee, which works to give a voice to veterans in Dublin, advise Dublin City Council, provide input on the operations of the Grounds of Remembrance and coordinate ceremonial events to honor all who served our country.

Veterans Committee (two-year term)

  • Ensure those who served our country and reside within the City of Dublin have a platform to provide insight regarding the needs of the veteran community.
  •  This group started in 2019 as a way to provide input to City Council and staff regarding suggestions to honor or otherwise support Dublin’s veteran community.

  • Seeking: One new member representing Navy veterans to join the 10-member group
 

The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19. Apply here.

Applications will be reviewed at the March 17 meeting with appointments to follow.
