Columbus home prices rose in the fourth quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Columbus rose by $26,500 while total sales decreased by 37.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were 1,348 homes sold, with a median sale price of $187,500 - a 16.5% increase over the $161,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,163 homes sold in Columbus in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,665, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
