Columbus median home prices rose by 22% in the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Columbus rose by $38,250 while total sales increased by 127.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 786 homes sold, with a median sale price of $211,750 - a 22% increase over the $173,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 345 homes sold in Columbus in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,665, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
